First of all, basketball has always been my son's passion and he was looking for a way to improve his performance. At the advice of a friend, Dan Rossmann, came highly recommended. After four months of training twice a week, I was amazed at the changes. He has had a remarkable improvement not only on the court but also in his self confidence, motivation, and self esteem. My daughter is an athlete with and intense enthusiasm for competition cheerleading but also participates in golf, tennis, and softball. She is 5'1" , has a medium size body frame and exercises daily. During the summer she underwent surgery which kept her from exercising for 12 weeks. Knowing that her body would soon reap the consequences for lack of activity, I began a search for a personal fitness trainer. It was important to find someone who related to teenagers and understands the emotions that they deal with daily. I wanted someone who could motivate, build self-esteem and cultivate confidence. Dan began working with my daughter in September and by the end of October she had lost an overall 6 inches throughout her body. She always tells me how great she feels, is motivated, and exudes confidence. Her coaches have noticed improvement in the smoothness of her gymnastics ability. I would also like to mention that Dan doesn't just work with my daughter physically; he is also teaching her the effects of nutrition on one's body. This knowledge will hopefully remain with my daughter and assist her in living a long and healthy life. Working with Dan Rossman was by far the best thing I have ever done for my health. Despite being a medical doctor who teaches others about their health, I had become unfit and developed poor dietary habits. This was my first time working with a personal trainer but I learned very quickly that Dan does so much more than the routine. He creatively and intuitively implemented an exercise program that allowed me to see what I thought my limitations were and then go beyond them. Interweaving general strength and core training with stretching to prevent injury, Dan's workouts are both fun and challenging. Furthermore, Dan's knowledge of nutrition and dietary supplements has also improved my awareness of my health from another perspective. However, I think Dan's greatest strength lies in his ability to truly motivate. I found in training with him that he instinctively knew when I could do more and encouraged me and when to slow down when I was doing too much. What is my approach to Fitness?

 

Dan will focus on core, toning, and sport performance training in our strength and conditioning programs. He will also teach you how to achieve permanent results by implementing a Nutrition Program that stabilizes your blood sugar to improving your overall Health and Lifestyle.

 

Starting a Program

Programs are available to anyone that has the desire, the dedication, the time, the means, and the willingness to follow through with our system. Because the process in the beginning involves a period of experimenting with the best way approach with new clientele, he ask for a minimum verbal agreement to complete the first phase of training up to 6 months. It takes time and consistency to reach maximum goals in weight loss and to be at your best to reach your physical fitness.

 

Fitness Assessment and Goal Setting
Personal training with Dan starts with fitness assessments and goal setting. Dan will perform girth measurements and provide you with body fat percentage at your request. He will also test your muscular endurance and flexibility. Once your current level of fitness has been assessed, Dan will work with you to set your fitness goals.

 

Circuit & Interval Training
A time-efficient workout simultaneously delivering the benefits of a cardio session with those of a strength training session. There is no rest in the circuit program which will create a supercharged calorie burning workout. This program is also based around multi-joint, multi-muscle exercises, otherwise known as functional exercise. These functional exercises (such as performing a squat with a shoulder press) will spread the benefit around your body and make you fit for activities you perform in your every day life. This is a great approach for those who already understand the basics of strength training, have a limited amount of time for workouts and need to fit both cardio and strength training into one session. Resistance training will include a variety of disciplines including a combination of free weights, machine-based training, Swiss ball training, resistance bands, balance boards, medicine balls, mat work and manual resistance. This keeps things fun and varied and gives our clients a healthy toned body.

 

Cardiovascular Training
Cardiovascular training will focus on target heart-rate training (where you train within your range of maximum benefit) and interval training (mixing brief bursts of higher intensity work with longer periods of lower intensity recovery). It can be machine-based, indoors or outdoors, and can include circuit training, running and even hiking. Dan will recommend a form of cardio training that is enjoyable and keeps you motivated.

 

Stretching and Flexibility
Flexibility training is more than just injury prevention. Whether you're a serious competitor or training for personal benefit, proper stretching during and after your workout will improve your performance, increase your flexibility, and make you feel better.

 

Sport Specific Training
Depending on the sport you are training for, sport specific movements will be used to bring you to a new level in your sport. We will use Plyometric exercises to increase your range of motion and build your strength. If you're looking to break records or reach a new level, this training is for you.
